Ingredients

For piped decorations

  • Lindt DESSERT Premium Dark, tempered
  • Excellence Extra Silky White, tempered

For the Modelling Chocolate

  • 150g Excellence Extra Silky White 
  • 60g Glucose syrup
  • 15g Pure icing sugar
  • 20g Syrup 30°Bé *

The same technique can be used decorating anything from a cake to a block of chocolate, the sky is the limit.

    There are countless ways to decorate the eggs

    • Let your creativity guide you.

  • 2

    For some piped decorations such as the dots, lines etc

    • Temper the chocolate

  • 3

    Fill

    • A piping bag with the chocolate and decorate as you desire.

  • 4

    Different

    • Sized dots look impressive on an egg. Lines and squiggles or of course personalizing an egg with the name of someone special all make gorgeous decorations.

  • 5

    When using the modelling chocolate

    • Roll out some modelling chocolate as thin as possible with a little icing sugar and cut out decorative shapes such as flowers.

  • 6

    For the modelling chocolate

    • Warm the glucose to 40°C.

  • 7

    Mix

    • In the icing sugar and sugar syrup and mix well.

  • 8

    Stir in

    • The tempered chocolate and mix well again.

  • 9

    Place

    • Onto some clingfilm on a baking tray and cover airtight and allow to set.

  • 10

    To use it

    • Work it by kneading or run it through a pasta machine to soften or very slightly warm a little in the microwave.

  • 11

    • * A 30°Bé syrup is made by bringing 200ml of water and 250g sugar to the boil.
