Lindt EXCELLENCE Cream Cheese ‘Butterboard’

‘Butterboards are ok but pale in comparison to this Chocolate Board! The perfect communal dessert for the warmer months. Velvety, chocolate flavoured cream cheese, topped with your selection of additions. Seasonal berries, nuts, biscuits and chunks of chocolate- the sky is the limit.

Delicious, served with a chilled Rosé in the middle of the table. La dolce vita and a trend worth following!’



  • 100ml Boiling water
  • 60g Raw caster sugar
  • 120g Lindt EXCELLENCE 70%, chopped
  • 250g Cream Cheese, spreadable
  • To serve (these topping are suggestion only)
  • Berries
  • Biscuits such as Biscoff
  • Nuts
  • Small pieces and squares of Lindt EXCELLENCE


Step 1.

For the syrup, combine ingredients and allow to sit for one minute in order for the hot water to start melting the chocolate. Using a stick blender, create a smooth syrup. Place in a serving jug and set aside. To create the chocolate cream cheese mixture, place the cream cheese in a mixing bowl and using a spatula, soften and smooth the cream cheese. In two or three stages, mix in approximately ¾ of the slightly cooled chocolate syrup. Taste the mixture and add more syrup to taste. Serve the rest of the syrup with the dessert.

Step 2.

ITo assemble, dollop the cream cheese onto a serving platter or clean board. Then add the toppings and serve with squares of chocolate or plain, sweet biscuits. Enjoy.
