Chocolate Fondant

A truly show stopping dessert.

The indulgent soft centre with the rich chocolate flavour will melt your heart.

  • 180g LINDT Dessert 70% Cocoa Chocolate
  • 70g Butter
  • 35g Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • Pinch of salt
  • 20g Plain flour

Preheat

Oven to 200°C.

Grease moulds or ramekins to avoid sticking.

Dust out with finely grated chocolate or cocoa powder.

Gently

Melt together the chocolate and butter.

In a mixing bowl

Whisk the sugar, eggs and salt until light and pale.

Mix

A little of the chocolate mixture into the egg mixture to bring up the temperature and then fold in the rest.

Sift in the flour and gently fold in until combined.

Divide mixture

Into the moulds and place into the oven.

Cook

For 7-8 minutes. The cake should be firm on top but remain soft in the centre.

Rest

For 3 minutes before turning out on a plate.

Serve immediately.
