Finishing with Perfection
At Lindt we know that enjoying chocolate is a full sensory experience. That’s why our attention to detail can be seen at every step, from our tempering process that ensures our chocolate finish is shiny and luxurious, to our elegant packaging. And final touches like the almonds atop our pralines and the ribbons that embellish each Gold Bunny are all placed there by hand.
How we make our chocolate
Lindt Swiss premium chocolate, by the numbers
The year the iconic Gold Bunny was born
The number of Excellence bar varieties sold worldwide
The number of Lindor Truffles made every year around the globe
What is tempering?
Tempering involves heating, cooling and then reheating chocolate to avoid uncontrolled crystallization and achieve a stable formation of cocoa butter, which is the fat in chocolate. It's this process that gives Lindt products their glossy chocolate finish and the chocolate bars their crisp snap.
Our special finishing touches
Lindt’s vintage ads and packaging
Through the years, Lindt’s ads have reflected what was happening in the world at the time, whether it was commissioning artists to illustrate ads during the Belle Époque, or using peace symbols to mark the end of the Second World War.
